THE SUN, MOON & STARS
One million Earths could fit inside the Sun! The Sun or Sol, is the star at the center of our solar system and is responsible for the Earth’s climate and weather. The Sun is an almost perfect sphere. If a hollow Sun was filled up with spherical Earths then around 960,000 would fit inside. The Sun’s surface area is 11,990 times bigger than that of the Earth’s.

LIVING SYSTEMS
Did you know that the human heart weighs between 7 and 15 ounces and is a little larger than the size of your fist? By the end of a long life, a person's heart may have beat (expanded and contracted) more than 3.5 billion times. In fact, each day, the average heart beats 100,000 times, pumping about 2,000 gallons of blood.
