All Common Areas

Safe	Respectful	Responsible
Listen to the adults Use the buddy system Walk in a straight line, facing forward, from one destination to the next, watching out for others Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself Refrain from entering the hallways in the morning, recess and lunch except with an adult	Use quiet voices and wait for your turn Use kind words and actions Respect posted student’s work Follow all adult directions the first time given Hold the door open for the person behind you. Respect others’ personal space Use 6-inch voice	Take care of all personal belongings and school equipment Always have a hall pass when out of class Be honest and follow school rules

Cafeteria

Safe	Respectful	Responsible
Listen to the adults Line up in an orderly manner Raise your hand and wait to be excused Sit with feet on floor, bottom on bench and facing forward	Allow anyone to sit next to you Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself Use good table manners Use 6-inch voices Keep all hats, beanies, hoods & other headwear off while inside	Clean up after yourself Eat your own food Do not throw or play with food Follow the traffic pattern Be ready to say your name, if needed Get all utensils, milk, etc., when first going through the line

Play Yard

Listen to the adults Walk to and from your play areas Remain in your play areas Use playground equipment correctly Be aware of games & activities going on and walk around them	Allow anyone in your class to play Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself Play fairly Use kind words with your peers and staff	Freeze when the bell or whistle sounds Walk safely to your line up area Use restroom during recess and lunch Ask for adult assistance when needed Hold play equipment when walking to and from assigned areas

Restrooms

Use facilities correctly and quickly Walk at all times Keep food or drinks out of the restroom Wash hands, keep feet on the floor, and water in sink	Respect each other’s privacy Wait your turn Give others privacy Use 6-inch voices – DO NOT YELL	Clean up after yourself Do not throw too much paper in the toilet Flush the toilet Wash your hands Throw all trash in the trash can Always be accompanied by a buddy Use the restroom before school, during recess and during lunch

Auditorium

Safe	Respectful	Responsible
Use facilities correctly and quickly Walk in the auditorium Keep hands and feet to yourself Follow the directions of all adults the first time given	Give your undivided attention to the presenter Applause with your hands only (refrain from screaming or stomping) Refrain from talking to your neighbors Refrain from walking in front of speaker	Sit properly in your seat (i.e. hands folded in lap, feet in front of you, share the arm rest and position your back against your chair) Place belongings under your seat Push chairs up when you leave
